AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS Monday/Tuesday, May 12/13

Dulles Departure!
After a 4 hour layover in Heathrow we arrived late to Amsterdam and nearly missed our bike tour...we made it and had a 2 hour bike tour of the city. It was chilly and sunny for most of the ride - a perfect remedy for jet lag.

Amstel River
Our bike tour guide found some shoes on the sidewalk and decided to see if they fit - sadly, they did not.
The old weighing house
Chinatown!
This guy on our bike tour was wearing a Yoda backpack that made it look like he was piggy backing Yoda the whole time - this was weird but also funny.
After our bike tour we found our hotel and checked in...
Very steep stairs in the Clemens Hotel
On our way to the Anne Frank House we stopped for a snack at a shwarma stall...this is stacked, sliced chicken!
It was the best thing we ate all day!
After the Anne Frank museum we walked around for a while and then had a late dinner at a wonderful little Thai restaurant we had spied on the bike tour
Amsterdam Centraal train station
We slept really well that night!
Lovely breakfast at our hotel Monday morning then off to catch our flight to Rwanda
